  • my life right now

    lots of little things happening right now...

    -finally decided on a place for the wedding and reception. were going to use my church. yep, its all going to be there. i dont care if it seems ghetto or a little redneck cause my church is really pretty and were just using our money on better things like food. and i love food.
    -my sister and her kids are going to be here any moment and i am so excited. unfortunately, the reason theyre coming is because my sisters grandma died but im really really happy to see them.
    -work is going well. im finally adjusting to being at a new place with new people. and i love being a shift. getting paid more doesnt suck either.
    -senior paper is soooooo close to being done. tomorrow i print off my pages, get it copied onto special paper, bind it, and turn it all in. i plan to take pictures.
    -i cannot believe how soon the semester is going to end. time flies when youre... not... having fun?
    -i miss my friends

  • so....

    its been half a month since ive written. seriously? half a month since colorado? holy crap.

    recent developments in my most exciting life:
    -im transferring to a new starbucks. actually, im already transferred. my first day is tomorrow. im scared.
    -did end up getting promoted. wahoo. they trust me with money.
    -wedding plans... yep... theyre good. would be better if i wasnt writing senior paper at the same time.
    -speaking of senior paper, i turned in my first draft on monday. i cant even tell you how good that feels. some (hopefully) minor revision, and im all done.
    -im realizing how hard its going to be to coordinate holidays for the rest of my life. luke and i are trying to figure it all out. it makes my head hurt.
    -im getting the boxed set of the entire series of gilmore girls. blessings from heaven, i tell ya.
    -my baby brother turns 20 this week! oh my goodness.
    -my other little brother is going to have a baby. well, he isnt. his girlfriend is. again, oh my goodness.
    -my life is good right now. stressful, busy, insane, unpredictable, but really good.

    im excited that everything is turning all christmas-y. my mom and i wandered through the christmas aisles at target yesterday and i wanted to buy everything. and dont even get me started on all the stuff i want from starbucks holiday time. oh  man.

  • greetings from (cold) colorado

    so here i am in beautiful colorado springs with my bestest friend amy. im pretty much having an amazing time. so far weve explored colorado springs and denver (and by explored, i mean shopped...) and have many more plans for the rest of the week.

    its been amazing weather except for a bit of rain yesterday, but it is so much colder than tulsa! i think its been in the 80's back home, but here we're lucky if it's around 50ish. i love it! it gave me an excuse to buy a cute new coat

    ooo and a cute new purse! omg, im so insanely in love with it.

    and i love that im getting to spend time with amy and her family. i havent had a ton of time this semester to hang out and just have fun, and neither has she, so its nice to get to spend some time just doing whatever we darn well please, from reading bridal magazines to painting toenails. its blissful. and her family has been amazing.

    and in other news, im (finally) being promoted! yep, i shall soon become a shift supervisor. i train the week that i get back from here, so im pretty excited. its about time, i will say that.

    i miss luke.

    and my little doggies.
